U.S. Sen. John McCain and Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman are visiting the Lone Star State this evening as a way to beef up the coffers of the Straight Talk America PAC. The soiree starts with a reception at the Dallas home of Cinda and Tom Hicks; then the well-heeled Republicans will move on to dinner at the Dallas home of former Texas Gov. Bill Clements and his wife, Rita.
Forgive us if Fort Worth doesn't shout "howdy" from this side of the fence. We're having a hard time trying not to choke on some of the more glaring hypocrisies.

There are plenty of reasons to never vote for McCain. Its hard to choose just one.
Opposing the first ammendment is a pretty good one, though.
