For a few reasons - all monetary
- Illegals will work for MUCH cheaper wages (below Minimum wage).
- Illegals in many cases work for cash so...
- NO taxes are taken out, employer pockets money.
- Illegals, if injured won't go for workman's comp
- Illegals will take more cr*p from a boss, in fear of being turned in.
It's certainly NOT because Illegals work harder. That canard is utter bull.
Just anecdotal evidence but I overheard a construction supervisor and another guy talking (strangers) about immigrants and the construction guy was talking about what hard workers Mexicans are and how they always show up for work. It made me wonder.
BTW, illegals are still entitled to worker's comp if they are injured on the job.
