This is like being crowded inside a carnival tent with the barker ouside calling, "Come one, come all, FREE tickets!"

Well maybe two million legal immigrants over the next twenty years would be acceptable. 100 million would be the death of the Republic. The only types of legal immigrants allowed should be...

1. Those who have served the interests of the United States in an important way (hostage rescues, PR, spying, etc.)

2. Those who have technical skill that are needed in the United States (scientists, cultural experts, precision machinists, etc.)

3. Immigrants through marriage or the adoption process.

We don't need more labor. We're not going to out-compete places like China in the cheap labor department.

Hagel and Martinez should be thrown into Gitmo along with the other terrorists.

I'd rather limit Gitmo to actual terrorists - if we raised the level of LEGAL immigration, then the Border Patrol and other law enforcement would actually be freed up to catch terrorists and real criminals.

This gets worse by the day.

Please, someone again tell me why the RATS are worse than this bunch? Both are terrible.

Hagel, Martinez, McPain, GWB, GHWB, Clinton, Dole - they all sold out.

Now you are against LEGAL immigration too?

Don't you get tired of asking the same stupid, meaningless questions over and over?

We realize YOU want a billion new immigrants, clawrence3, but the rest of us don't.

How do you have time for this? Don't you ever have to work?

Don't bother to answer, I'm out, unless you just like to amuse yourself, which it appears you do.

Senate to honest American voters and taxpayers: "We can't HEEEEAAAAARRRRRRRRR you!!!!!"

So, what will it take to break through the Senate's selective deafness??

My "compromise" was 3 million legal immigrants per year.

I just read the entire article. If anything like this bill passes, we will no longer be the same nation. We will be on the glide path to a third world country.

I have come to the sad conclusion that the bots who argue "work for change from within" will not work.

We have to get rid of all these bums now.

Worth repeating:"The Senate bill is a travesty."The effects of illegal immigration is already straining the financial resources of border states like California.Just think what's it going to be like 5 or 10yrs from now?How about social security? Our polititians are trying to pass legislation(under our noses)that in essence accomplishes nothing.Feed em s#it and keep em in the dark.

I don't know what will get the message across to these bums.

I hope about 1,000,000 "guests" show up to the ranch in Crawford looking for work. See what happens.

United States=Frog
Unlimited Immigration=Boiling Water

Most Americans will continue to go their way and not say or do a thing about what is happening. Sure, conservatives will be more alienated from the political process and stay home on election day. But the country is set on a course that will not be changed. I saw in happen in the Bronx in the early 1960s. One day it was a prosperous, middle and working class part of New York. The next day it was a barrio.
