Here's a disturbing thought.
I'll probably live long enough to see this country's population reach 1 billion. It will be like living in India or something.

-"The figure of 103 million legal immigrants is a reasonable estimate of the actual immigration inflow under the bill and not the maximum number that would be legally permitted to enter." THANK YOU, REPUBLICAN SENATORS FOR WRITING THE END OF THIS COUNTRY AS WE KNEW IT.
These are the people that you are KOWTOWING TO.

The Republicans in the Senate fought back. They only wanted to let in 102,999,999 instead of 103,000,000....

Sessions' website ^ | May 15, 2006 | Unknown WASHINGTON U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) today unveiled an impact analysis that shows the Senate immigration bill should it become law would permit up to 217.1 million new legal immigrants into the United States over the next 20 years, a number equal to 66 percent of the total current population of the United States. Even if the maximum levels are not reached, the increase to the U.S. population caused by S. 2611 will be at least 78.7 million in 20 years, just over 25 percent of the total current population. This lower estimate assumes that the bill's...

This is out of control. I know of 38 Senators who won't vote for this but the RINOS will help the Democrats pass this insane legislation.

And, yet, some party boosters afraid of a Democrat Majority in '06 fail to understand this passes and conservative advancements are officially dead. We cannot overcome these numbers. Is it any wonder the Liberal Republicans are pushing it?
If this passes it doesn't matter if we turn out in '06.

It has become obvious to me that the rulers of our country, both democrat and republican have an agenda that does not include governing according to the will of the people.

5 million per year is too high of a rate for effective assimilation. I have no problem with high immigration rates as long as immigrants want to become Americans (not just MEXICAN-americans or INSERT ANOTHER COUNTRY HERE-americans), are willing to learn English immediately (giving preference to those who have already mastered English), and are willing to completely assimilate. If all three of these requirements were met, and we could have 100 million more patriots, I would support it in a heartbeat. But in reality, if we have too high of an immigration rate they won't assimilate and our country will start electing socialists like the rest of the third world hellholes.
The control of immigration rates has the potential to make or break our country. If it is too small, countries like India and China will kill us economically. If it is too large, socialism will kill us economically. If it is at the correct rate we will continue to be the world hyper-power. Perhaps to help assimilation we should require immigrants not live in immigrant cluster states for a period of time.
