He said it was a horrible mistake he regrets.

Michael Maxwell said the request to describe how students would carry out a murder was merely a writing exercise.

Should be ex-teacher, this person has no call to be in education.

Geeze, when I was in school a similar exercise would have been to write about an imaginary race of people or aliens or something.

Agreed, what an absolutely moronic assignment. What value of education did this "teacher" really think would come of such an assignment.

I can never remember from high school: Is it WHOM I would murder, or WHO I would murder?

Is it just me, or does this sound like the plot to an Alfred Hitchcock movie?

What the heck does writing practice have to do with drafting class?

It sounds to me like the teacher wanted to put thoughts of murder in the kids heads for some reason.

(Support school choice.)

Remember the teachers unions continually want "more money" so they can continue with garbage like this. Their goal is to promote Liberalism and to brainwash as many students as possible. This should be a wakeup call for all the parents out there who are too busy to pay attention to what their kids are being subjected to in school. Americans aren't getting much for their education dollar. Evidence of that is the current crop of uneducated job applicants. Please read "A Nation At Risk" issued in the 80's. No one listened then and they're not listening now.

Sometimes if you search on just one word of the title you can find duplicates that have had title changes. For instance teacher.

Are you kidding? If even one student picked Bush, this drafting teacher will get the teacher of the year award!
The NEA will probably give him a high level position in Washington!

"Should be ex-teacher, this person has no call to be in education."

Exactly, judgement this impaired shouldn't be teaching.

Suggestion: When searching the title, just put in important words. I searched "teacher murder" and it came up third. Also, seach on "keyword" if you don't find by title.

Boy or boy do I agree with you.

This guy is an idiot! The illogic of asking students to write such a thing is mind-boggling.

Why not have them write about what charity they would like to join and why?? But .. before you give that assignment, have a few field trips and take them to spend the day at Salvation Army, a foodbank, etc. It usually only takes one visit to make children realize how blessed they are.

This assignment only tells the child - I CAN SOLVE MY PROBLEMS BY KILLING PEOPLE. Eeeegads!!
