For the delusional amongst us, the SS Administration can in fact fine them all, they know when SSNs are forged and when they are legitimate. SSNs must match up to W-2 forms. All that has to be done is for the SSA to turn the bogus numbers over to the federal police agency of choice. Once the SS roles are clear of illegals --- If the employer doesn't have the ability to deduct wages paid to illegals, then the practice will stop. Small and large employers will be in a box, no way to deduct illegal wage expenses, and still have to pay taxes on the wages paid to illegals as if they were profits. A very bad squeeze on especially the bottom line of small businesses.

The only jobs not caught up in this trap is the cash economy jobs, a small portion of the jobs. I doubt they will last long.

The hold up is the SSA won't turn over the SSN information to the IRS and then to the police -- that can be fixed easily.

Build the wall, fix the SSA-IRS, and let the fines begin. No delusion required.
