Your neice can get in line to buy food AFTER all the free-lunch kids have eaten. The kids not on freebies can only buy left-overs.

Amazingly enough, when I taught in an inner-city school with a majority of hispanic children below poverty level and on free lunch, it was very common to see children buying dessert with $5 bills--and lunch was 90 cents! D'oh!
Don't even get me started on the majority of kids with designer football jackets wearing Air Jordan sneakers...brand new.
