Bush has long described as amnesty any plan that would put illegals on a path to citizenship. That is what the compromise bill does.

That is why it is called a COMPROMISE bill. Both sides get some of what they want. That is how grownups act. I know that is uncommon on FR lately with all of the tantrums being thrown.
