Sounds like you're warming-up out there... it's still 'unsettled' up here in the communist-north... too early for plastic worms. 'Gonna try to get out mid-week... in between work & sending out resumes. By summers end I hope to be out'ta this stinking nanny-state!
Here's a shot I took at West Lake a few weeks ago. It's the stream that feeds the lake... beautiful place... not a house for miles.
Oh, yeah, I landed it! He dove deep and in out of the reeds, and several times I thought I lost him. But I finally pulled him up on shore. A Noble fish. I held it up for all the of the fishermen to see and put him back. As I was leaving this guy told me I was nuts for putting him back. 18" is the limit at Sunfish Lake, and I take DNR laws seriously. Those guys are armed and can take the vehicle you drove to the lake in, if you take illegal fish, or fish without a license. Cmon out, and we'll stalk bass..
