Well said.

Last evening I went to a couple of shops to do some errands. While walking through the aisles of Walmart- I heard MORE Spanish being spoken than English. Everywhere- from the clerks and stockers to the customers. I'm always tempted to stop and ask them- why don't you speak English? Why did you come to America? But I'm a gutless wonder, and so I never say anything.

I have several Hispanic neighbors who seem like "nice people"...well-behaved kids, always smiling and happy. I have never heard them speak a word of English.

It might help to learn just enough Spanish to ask them why they are so rude to not use English around people that are not Fluent in Spanish. It is very rude, and most of them know enough English to use it conversationally and I always encourage them to do so. Sometimes it is a lack of confidence and not wanting to sound stupid, instead they sound Rude, and unwilling to assimilate in America. Spanish Children easily learn English and sometimes have to interpret to their Parents. The News Media is a huge detriment to the People that have been here for 30 years and cannot speak English. They enable them to be lazy and never learn the language of Our Country.
