"My good freind Charlie Rangel" is what stopped me from listening to Sean. That and that embarrasing display on election day 2004..

DrDeb posted this on the DOSE thread last night...it is VERY good, IMHO...and expresses a lot of the frustration and exasperation that a lot of us feel lately.

Then you will be glad to know Kyl thinks the ethenol tax should be repealed permanently -- Shaddeg wants to repeal it until the first of the year. I like Kyl's plan.

Newt asking us to drink kooklaid

You gotta remember kabar,Newt has that 80/20 disease. Where at least 20% of what he does or advocates turns to SHeyet. It's always what gets him into trouble.

Ref 491, You have great skill in evaluating situations, and you are pragmatic in your thoughts. We need to convince People that we do not want the interlopers/illegals shot at Sunrise, but that they are hurting America by putting a huge state like California further in Debt every single day. California is literally drowning under the weight of the illegals. We cannot get people to listen to us if we have nutcases that appear to be Members of the Old Nazi Party posing as Minutemen. I am sure that Tom Tancredo is mildly upset about what passes for spokesman for this group that still has hope but looks tainted right now. We have seen on some of these threads the Pat Buchanan attitude that does not want anyone coming into this Country at all,but they are getting more and more strident and they hurt the cause that so many have volunteered for and believed in. I think they can make a difference, but not with those crazies.

I realized that about a year ago...so I stopped watching his show on Saturday night...

He always brags about being elected into the House in the "class of 94", with Scarborough and a few others that aren't there anymore...(it should tell him something, doncha think?)

Good post. Two SC judges, tax cuts, roaring economy, no terror attacks since 9-11, and two succesfully prosecuted wars, is a pretty good record, IMHO. How soon some forget, I guess..

I quit watching him 99% of the time as well. As you know, Scarborough is off my radar, too (is he even still on the air?)....

"Part of his problem has been Frist as Majority leader, (wimpy)...and Specter as Chair of the Judiciary (traitor)..."

All he has to do tomorrow is to announce that he'll veto any bills including an amnesty.

That would put a halt to Frist & Specter's lunacy.

Either that, or he's been lying about his intentions (re amnesty).

I have been on some of the border threads and had several posters actually say that Bush has accomplished NOTHING, and will go down as the worst POTUS in history...

These aren't newbies either...

I am incredulous at how uninformed or out right just stupidly stubborn those people are.

Thank you Starwise!

In addition to what you posted, the MSM and Dims continue to tell untruths about this program and the NSA 'wiretapping' - - (of course, why should these be any different than all the lies and the hate-filled cr*pola they spew daily.

1st - I am SO SICK of hearing it called 'Domestic Wiretapping' or 'Domestic Spying' - - even some ill-informed Republicans do this - it is a TERRORIST SURVEILANCE Program.

2nd - The Dims and MSM make it sound like Bush and the NSA is personally listening to all your phone calls and/or screening your telephone records (the reporterette on FNC just said it). There is NO way in heck that there is the manpower, equipment, time and/or desire to listen to phone calls of all Americans. It is simply logistically impossible. There was a caller on a local talk radio show the other night that said he was w NSA (used a fake name and the host said he had no way to prove or not if this guy was who he said he was, so we should all just make up our minds). The guy sounded credible to me.
He said he had worked on this program and they have special training and can only analyze/look at certain data. All they get are strings of numbers/digits (a guy from a phone company confirmed this). The data doesn't say SC placed a call(from this #) to SW at this # and they talked for x minutes. They create algorithms and analyze the data for, among other things, spikes in calls, etc. IF they find a spike - they may look further and/or if other situations arise and they feel the need to get caller info - he has to go to his supervisor to look at additional data (I believe to get the actual names and #s of the callers and callees as well). The Dims and MSM are really spinning this one, but, the funny thing is that something like 66% of Americans who took a poll the other day said they didn't have a problem w it (the Dims are deeply troubled and deeply saddened).

Napolitano will be against it. Why? Because she already has a twenty something percent vacancy rate in Adult Corrections and most of the national guard in AZ are COs. Maybe if she pushed paying COs better they wouldn't have to work two jobs.

Ref #494, This may sound a bit childish but I will use a Game Show scenario to demonstrate how really out of touch with reality the MSM/DNC are. When these People spoiled their own ballots by marking them wrong, (and this is done a lot more than you would imagine)it is only right if they do not realize it and ask for a new ballot at the time to disqualify that ballot. Imagine if Pat sajak on Wheel of Fortune asks the Contestant to call out a letter and it is one that has already been called, and he says "That letter has already been called, try another", instead of them losing their turn because they were not paying attention. It would be stupid and take away from the continuity and the fairness of the program. It was easy to vote, and it is even easier now, there is no excuse.

But, it will put her into a nice corner. She keeps saying, publically, she can't do anything because of The President -- then she vetoes anything our State Senate sends her to help solve the problem.

So far, she's had it both ways. This "should" help that issue and maybe Goldwater?

Good post sleuth...I think we talked about Republicans being weary of defending everthing, everyday a couple of weeks ago.

We've got to keep it up though.

He isn't going to do that...or, even if he does, AMNESTY has become a synonym for "guest worker program"...even though in HIS mind, and in mine, it is different.

SO...unless he stands up tomorrow night, and says that the National Guard will be put along the border, UNTIL a fence is built...and in the meantime, ALL illegals that are currently in the USA will be rounded up and deported...

NO ONE will be happy after his speech, NO ONE...and even then, the hundreds of thousands that have been protesting, the DEMS, and the Leftists groups, would come out BLASTING him for even suggesting such a plan.

This speech tomorrow night is a LOSE/LOSE proposition, but he has to do it.

The Democrats are purposefully obtuse. They can't really be as dumb as they seem. So it must serve a purpose for them.. I think they have missed the boat however. People, even poor people have assess to the Internet and cable TV. It's just a pure shame for the Democrats. People are not falling for their paternalism any more.

They are not supposed to hijack a thread that is not specifically about immigration, and if they do you are supposed to report them to the Mod to zot them.
