unfortunately, diatribe, diplomacy, liberal leanings and our comfort will further empower them to act on america. If we maintain the current status quo and do nothing, death to America will be their course.
promoting democracy, education and freedom of speech and religion are the theoretically greatest tools. These are americas greatest assets which have made america great. the supporting infrastructure did not happen overnight. this evolutionary process has 250 years of development into it.
thus the fight in iraq will last a minimum of a couple of generations until a couple of generations of children have washed through assuming positive effect. there is no way you can inject freedom overnight, in half a life, nor a full life. they have 1400 years of codified inertia.
