I'm a trial lawyer. I look at voters like I look at jurors. I have never found that insulting jurors is a way to get votes. Or lying to him/her, or saying that he/she has no option but to vote for me because the other guy is even worse than I am. Not winning arguments. Backfires every time. (Not that I am stupid enough to actually try it.)
