From the original story...Boehner sued McDermott, charging the liberal lawmaker had violated state and federal wiretapping laws.

Do you suppose USA Today will do a big expose on this breach of privacy rights? Didn't think so...

Surely a fund raiser to pay a criminal fine is taxable income.

"President Clinton will attend a fundraising event for Rep. Jim McDermott in Seattle on June 3."

I thought it was illegal for public servants to solicit donations for anything except campaign money.

Didn't the Clintoons learn that when they tried to establish a fund to pay their legal expenses over Whitewater?

Thanks for posting. I didn't know McDermott was a psychiatrist in addition to being a perfect example of a Democratic Crime Syndicate member.

I would love for the " innocent couple " that " just happened " to have monitoring equipment in their car to also be embroiled in the lawsuit . This is blatant lawbreaking that should result in lengthy jail terms for the couple and slimeball McDermott .

The Clintons, plural, should be good at hauling in the loot. Or, hauling it out!

He can't call his good ol' buddy Saddam, he's in prison. Maybe he and Baghdad Jim can be cell mates. I'm sure Saddam would love to have him!

I can't believe this CROOK has been allowed to drag this out for nine years. It's not like he's gone anywhere!

I can't see how he can argue he way out of this. Didn't the couple who did the intercept get convicted of it?

"The appeals court ordered McDermott to pay Boehner about $700,000 — $60,000 in damages and more than $600,000 in legal costs."

Imagine, if we had had vultures of this sort lo these many years there would be nary a bone left to earth's sore sentence nor fossil to be found in sere salted sea.
