I'm astounded to read of sexual asaults by pre-teens. When I was that age, boys almost universally thought of girls as "yucky" or infested with "cooties". We wouldn't even have volunteered to kiss a consenting girl, much less force ourselves upon her.

I'm fortunate to have grown up when I did. Times have indeed changed, and not for the better in this case.

Kids are developing earlier as the average age of puberty has been dropping for some years. What's causing it? -- the kids are overfed, and it may be related to exposure to hormone-like compounds or hormone-disruptors in water, beef, plastics, etc.
