Hitman, I know we totally disagree on this, but if you were listening tonight, how could you not be angry at Savage for blasting Murdoch, who has the SOLE conservative paper in the city, and the SOLE moderate cable news station...

Oh yeah, it all comes down to him being "boycotted" on those shows. Jeez a wheeze.

... and he continues to call Rush "Hush Bimbo" at every opportunity. Sorry, but that's just LAME IMHO

Michael Savage is a fictional character, portrayed by a man named Michael Weiner. He taps into something in the conservative mindset that needs to be expressed. He attacks conservatives on the public stage from an independent, conservative perspective. He also hams it up. That's the gimmick.

Personally, I think Murdoch is a suit and is just hedging his bets. I love the Post (I pick it up from time to time here in LV). I love Fox News, too. That doesn't mean I can't be pissed at Murdoch for hosting a fundraiser for Hilly. I know why he does it, but I still don't like it.

Enter Savage - he has the independence and flexibility to call Murdoch to the carpet. Fills a void on the right.

There is no doubt on my mind that Savage is blacklisted from major media interview outlets. He just exaggerates the effect. It does seem to make him genuinely bitter. I can understand that, though he shouldn't be bitter.

Rush and Sean are almost comically bad these days. GOP $hills all the way. I gotta call it like I hear it. I can take either in limited doses but neither are particularly bright, nor particularly independent minded.

Jerry Doyle is a sober and more reasoned (but no less passionate) version of Savage. He is critical of the GOP when necessary. I like that.

I work at home and am in & out all day, but my radio schedule is Laura Ingraham/Dennis Prager/Mike Medved or Dr Laura/Savage. I listen to Hugh Hewitt and Mark Levin from time to time, too, and enjoy them. All of them have more clarity and independence that Rush or Sean.
