I live in another Congressional District along the border, in another Border Patrol sector, we have the permanent check points here also. Like in Cochise County, there are few roads in, and out of the area, if there are check points in operation on those few roads it forces the Illegals off the road, which makes it much easier to detect them.
I talk to the BP on the ground regularly, I have questioned them about the permanent check points, it has nothing to do with having air conditioned shacks, most assigned to the check points would rather be on the ground at the Border, but they tell me the check points work well to apprehend Illegals that have gotten past them at the Border.

Tell me how you catch illegals at a fixed checkpoint? It makes NO sense.

I-8 is the only way out of here, East, or West, there are two 2 lane highways North, 4 permanent checkpoints either deters them, into the desert to avoid the checkpoints, or they get caught at the check points.
If they don't have papers, and go through a checkpoint in a vehicle, they are caught. Many times they are hidden in the trunk, or other places in the vehicle. If the checkpoints weren't there, they would be home free once they got out of the area the BP works.

Sounds like a good opportunity to replace a RINO.

With scumbag traitors like this as "Republicans", American will soon decide they might as well have Democrats in power.
