I guess he shoulda just raped her and told her to "put some ice on that"
Good heavens, there are TONS of 30 and 40 year old women out there who would jump on a wealthy attorney like a dog on a bone.
Ray must be really weird.
It's over, man. Let her go!
When a woman says no...
I am always wary of "stalking charges" or "harassment charges" after a relationship has broken up. Not saying its not a legit concern at times but often the facts of the case are never really that clean cut.
Maybe your opinion, but it's a good one and needs to be contemplated by others.
I doubt it. This is not the kind of charge one would trump up for political retribution if only because it is usually initiated not by a prosecutor or a grand jury, but by the complaint of the alleged victim.
My problem with Ray is that he let the 'Toon off too easy.
Don't you think it might be wise to check this woman out, particularly her political affiliations/beliefs,before declaring him guilty as charged.
A charge like this could certainly prove to be beneficial to certain ambitious politicians over the next couple of years.
I know of a guy who was threatened with stalking charges because his ex-girlfriend still had some expensive stereo equipment of his at her home.
She would not respond to his emails or phonecalls asking her to give him a time or a place to pick up about $2000K worth of his property.
So he contacted her at work and also stopped by her house to say: "Hey, it's not funny anymore. Please give me back my stuff."
He was specifically as nice as possible about it (so she wouldn't damage it or sell it) but persistent.
Luckily for him the police realized that he could care less about contacting her or not, he just wanted his property back without incurring the court costs of suing her in a case that would be hard to win.
Remember....900 FBI files!
Well, if she told him not to bother her, and she can produce records of phone calls and emails after the date she broke it off, he is at least guilty of refusing to get the message.
The legal charge aside, why would a 46 year old successful lawyer chase after one skirt when she doesn't want him?
Is he married?
Just give this some thought. Is it not true that the Former Twelfth Lady would *love* to get this Whitewater monkey off her back? Is it not true that when she officiall launces her campaign that report is gonna be picked apart ad infinitum? Isn't it the MO of both members of The Most Ethical Couple In History to slime their opponents?
Do you remember Governor Jerry Brown's comments to Billy Bob about his (Billy Bob's) wide-bodied bride during the '92 primary campaign?
Yes,the charges could be true. But as you said, why would a rich, famous lawyer *need* to "stalk" a particular woman? Rich, famous guys have to fight women off with sticks.Just look at Bill Gates!
I can guarantee that there's hooting and hollering and champagne corks poppin' in Chappaqua NY at this very moment.
Might the perpertrators of the 900 FBI files and the vanishing billing records have made a call or two to a "true believer"?
Don't know, but I would doubt it.The AP would most certainly have mentioned that fact if he was.
May I be the first to say
D'oh!
