We have expelled over 6 million since bush took office - I realize that's not enough for you, but I am just answering your question.

Wow...if your stat is true, then clearly the argument that we can't deport 11 million people is bunk.

You just blew a gapping hole in that arguement.

Kudos, I'm ticked I never had that realization.

Wait a minute. That would be 1 million per year, and you can rest assured not all were even from Latin America. And you can also rest assured those are only the ones who committed other crimes, probably violent.

Look, there is only one key statistic in this matter. The US prison population is 3 million and It Is Full.

There is nowhere to put people whose crime is being an illegal alien unless you turn rapists or murderers loose to make room for them, and only 1/4 of them. You can't deport them without disobeying US law that requires a hearing at a court of law and only so many of those can be scheduled.

It Takes Time. Sealing the border is a good move by Bush. It is the correct first step.

Most of those were voluntary departures - you really think it is going to be easy to find and remove by force 20 million? Hitler only got 13 million.

Looks like you've found the weak point. At this point, their arguments become self-refuting. See the Harriet/Brownie/Dubai threads.

At some point, the dam collapses from its own internal weaknesses. As it should. Because the vast majority of the country holds a very different opinion than the ruling classes.

Good point.

I like the way Jay Leno puts it. How come Vincente Fox is smart enough to move 15 million people here but President Bush isn't smart enough to figure out a way to move them all back? (or something like that, I'm paraphrasing)

Not really. Many of those 6 million were caught crossing the border.

Finding and deporting 11 million from the interior is an eintirely different story.
