Perhaps it's a tick spread parasite? I find it difficult to believe that if they can collect the fibers, they cannot tell what they are. Weird.

that's why i try to capture any insects or arachnids that either bite me, or are realy wierd looking and turn up around my house. if something odd happens with the bite, i want to make sure i can show doctors what bit me.
