We need more than that. How about a directive ordering the (1) IRS/SS to provide a validation database; (2) DoJ to begin prosecuting all violations; (3) IRS to reject/audit all non-documented wage/employment expenses; (4) FDIC to stop facilitating bank lending to illegals; (5) ICE to begin domestice enforcement, etc.

After 9/11, hundreds of $BILLIONS of funding was directed at both governmental agencies and PRIVATE contractors to begin to fight the WoT.

Where is that flood of money to the MM or other private contractors to support ICE & local LEOs? Why is he so worried about offending the 'civil rights' of illegals when he was perfectly willing to assert consitutional priviledges in the wiretapping cases?

It's not because Bush really can't do much, or that other presidents have done less; it's because he's actively aiding & abetting in the violation of our immigration laws.

Perhaps he'll come out and tell us Monday night that we've got to fight the Iranians & Chicoms in the near future. That because of this, we've got to give up the notion of a separate and sovereign US in favor of a merged US/Mexico in order to stimulate our economy and have the available resources to fight these looming wars.

Believe it or not, I could actually support such a notion. You'd be surprised by the support he'd get from conservatives if he just laid the cards on the table. Anything short of this, and he looks like a historically small man positioning himself for votes & business.
