Just announced on Fox News that President Bush is to address the nation at 8pm Eastern on Monday May 15th to speak on immigration.
Can't we just avoid listening to speech on Monday and spend the next few days telling each other what Bush said?
I would imagine it would be about the NSA program.
Then get it over with and do FR hari kari now.
No habla sarcasm
This country can ill afford to keep whoring itself out to both cheap oil and cheap labor. At some point, national sovereignty has got to mean something.
Well between the Senate doing a compromise last night and the president's feelings about immigration we can forget about the 12 million illegals getting sent back to their countries. Now about sealing the border we need to get on their backs.
Monday Night... Are you ready for some fútbol?
Troll bait thread!
Amen! Get in front of the cameras more and stop letting your opponents (enemies) define where you stand on issues. I wish this started years ago.
Yep..... not a very smart thing to do.
He damn well better NOT say anything about "doing jobs Americans won't do"
He is going to nominate an illegal alien to sit on the Supreme Court? I mean, that is a job most Americans won't do.
Please GOD let him NOT talk about "Jobs that Americans are not willing to do".
I hope he doesn't shoot himself in the foot again and talk about "earned path to citizenship".
If those words come out of his mouth his speech writer needs to be drawn and quartered.
This may be the do-or-die for the Republican Party for 2006/2008. If he comes out pandering and trying to mask an amnesty program, the Repubs are dead meat with the American conservative and patriot.
You know what is interesting about this whole thing is that Ross Perot was wrong. He said with NAFTA we'd have the "giant sucking sound" as all of the jobs went to mexico. Instead we've had the giant "rushing sound" as all of the illegal immigrants rushed into our country.
i think this could be a very dangerous address..
Unless he is proposing something radically different, it is a mistake. Most Americans vehemently disagree with him on this issue. They were fired up with the illegal rallies and Congress support of illegals, but this will die down somewhat...
But the President going on national tv to give us more of the same amnesty nonsense will only throw more gas on the fire.
I suspect another lecture to us about "jobs Americans won't do" will blow up in his face.
I really hope he is proposing something new, because if he is not this speech could be a disaster.
I'll read the transcript or view the replay. Can't miss 24.
JMO, not only do you no habla sarcasm, you also no compredhe your brain.
You did good. POTUS has to act or risk a complete mutiny.
