Sheriff's officials already have arrested 147 illegal immigrants and smugglers under the law.
Why is this the second to last sentence in the article? I guess the new law is a failure, and without the single arrest from the other night, that would "only" be 146?

Yep, I think that is the easiest solution to the illegal immigration problem.

The reason why they could not catch the other 19 fleeing aliens is because of the night vision. These goggles only enhance light. That's no good if the varmints crouch down next to a tumbleweed.
They should have been using infrared spectrum equipment instead. With heat sensing there is no where to hide in the open desert.

Sheriff Joe will be successful in his program. It isnt like there were all 250 members out there on one night. The public will call in suspicious activities and there will be arrests made. There are far too many illegals moving through Arizona for it to dry up all of a sudden....
