I thought it was interesting that the European passenger wanted to negotiate with the terrorists instead of charging the terrorists! Is there any evidence that this really happened?

The movie was based on fact. I can't say for sure if that incident was included in the many phone conversations or other data that was collected.

Many, many cell phone calls by the victims.

Is there any evidence that this really happened? Given the fact that the Director is a Brit and probably 'knows the breed', I'd guess that there may have been some hint of this in the facts and he built upon it. Just my guess.

No evidence at all. I've read all the transcripts and records of all the phone calls. Made up out of whole cloth. Very sad for Christian Adams' family, I would think, and a stain on an otherwise great movie.
