Good points on all counts, however they have 18 weeks to do this before the election! Yieks. I took the four week August vacation out which is why the 18 weeks is it. I did not take out any other time out of the equation event though their will be other "vacations". I am really nervous that 18 weeks is not enough time to get the things that they need to do to be done. For example, didn't they run on a marriage amendment. That was one of the main points of the 04 election. Where is that? They could at least bring it up yearly. From the start they did not do what they said. I know dems will stand in the way and I say let them, but at least it shows that the Republicans are doing something.

What we need to do above all is (1) to pick a fight and(2) fight back.

This rope a dope strategy of the administration has driven Bush's poll numbers to 31%. On every issue we have a good case to make, so why do we fail to make any case at all?

As you say, we have 18 weeks to change course. The House and the Senate should be throwing bills into the hopper which will precipitate Democrat resistance. Let them show the world what liberals believe. Let us have that fight now while there is still time.

We barely have the time, do we have the will?
