I think it is the Congress we have to worry about... George is never running for anything again.
I agree, but we elected him and we expect him to lead this country on a host of issues instead of sulking in the WH because his party doesn't agree with him because he isn't living up to what is expected of Republicans in positions of authority and the opportunity to lead. That opportunity shrinks with each passing day. Bush is almost in freefall, and he's taking the entire party down with him.
If Bush had started the wall, or put the NG on the border while beefing up the BP staff and tools, we'd be in shape by now for him to have his guest worker program while deporting illegals by attrition as they are discovered. Then there's the feel-good spending and the poor leadership on energy. He should have been out on the stump every week or two talking to (educating) the idiots about the dangers in the ME, energy vs. envirowhackos and the costly mistakes they have wrought, and how best to solve immigration in view of necessary national security measures, with business needs a close secondary concern.
The silence is deafening.
No Republican politian should be surprised when Republican turnout is a bust. I'll be voting Republican, but I may be a lonely Republican voter. Most see little to hother to vote FOR.
I am disgusted with the lack of political skill this party demonstrates day-in and day-out while the Dems clean our clocks with their lies and distortions. The only way to handle the media whoring for the Dems is to engage them and outshout them, not cower.
I am just completely disgusted with these eunuchs we've elected. Gutless idiots.
