If you've ever eaten in a restaurant, and was served water by an illegal, you're just as "guilty" as I am. Um, not really. And I do not patronize restaurants that I believe hires illegal aliens. If I strongly suspect ANYONE of hiring illegal aliens, I call Border Patrol. I've done it before, I'll do it again. I've turned business owners in to the IRS for non payment of taxes to the illegal aliens they admit to hiring too.
You, on the other hand, bragged about having illegal aliens do remodeling in your home. You recommended them to others and said that their work was better than legal American workers. There's a huge difference between inadvertantly and unknowingly having a contractor bring in illegal labor and bragging about it and giving glowing endorsements of that labor to others. That's what you did. Instead of quitting while you were ahead, like I kept suggesting, you had to keep digging your hole deeper.

That's what you did. Exactly; and that's also in the language of the law, that a person who either "knowingly" or "should reasonably know" must comply with that law directed toward them in that capacity. I would say bragging about and making recommendations to hire illegals goes beyond the pale of "reasonable".

Who the hell are you to tell people who they can hire to work on THEIR property? You are pathetic.
