Thank you, Jim, for clarifying.
I know I would hate to be thought of by anyone as 'the enemy' or 'the beast' and still I'm sorry to hear that you feel some here might even be being 'used by the enemy' or 'the beast' in some way . I'm not sure in what context that would be, but I hope that the 'those' you refer to aren't the 'those' who disagree with Bush, since flip side of that same coin would be to say that Bush, by taking the position he has, is being 'used by the enemy' or 'the beast' to divide the party. See what I mean? Scary thought!!
Aside from the immigration issue, I think mostly we all want the same thing, and fear loosing the same thing....our majority, in November. Unfortunately it seems fear has taken hold, FR has (frankly) beome a war zone and the immigration issue has become the weapon we are beating each other up with. If this continues the dems will have it made in the shade. Pointing out the obvious, I know. Just wish there was a way to get everyone back on the same page.
You said, and I quote, "Illegal immigration is not a "fighting" issue for me. I've had too much experience with illegals who worked their butts off after I couldn't get legal workers to do a job right. I think that's why lots of Americans are just not that upset with allowing illegals to remain in America after we close the borders. They've seen the work they do and their work ethic and admire it."
Don't squirm. You're embarassing yourself just like the poster did yesterday when he got caught fudging numbers.
But, as I said, I really don't care. I got an almost new house out of it.
However, ensuring the empowerment Democrats is contemptible.
Sink. Come on. You were bragging about hiring illegals and saying how much better their work was in your home remodeling than legal, American workers. That's what your post said. Now you're saying that you were not sure, that you only suspect, that you never asked for papers, and even that you "have no idea" that they were illegals.
Then you say that you don't really care. Well, obviously you do or you wouldn't be trying so hard to cover up what you said in that earlier post. Your admission was bad enough, but this squirming makes it so much worse. You know, when you find yourself in a hole it's a good idea to stop digging if you don't want to go any deeper. Put the shovel down, Sink.
"If you do not wish amnesty, you should not be so willing to usher in the Democrats."
But what about pro-amnesty Republicans, Jim? The issue is not exclusive to Democrats. BOTH the Democrats, some Republicans like Frist AND President Bush ALL will give amnesty.
What you said would be comparable to saying "If you do not wish UNSECURED BORDERS, you should not be so willing to support President Bush".
Interesting.
"However, ensuring the empowerment Democrats is contemptible."
I agree. But who's to blame for that? Bush and those Reps and Dems who agree with him or those who disagree with him?
Doesn't matter who gets the blame. Ensuring the empowerment Democrats is most definitely contemptible!
I would say damning.
As for you, sinkspur, nothing you can say on the illegal alien issue after this little display will be taken seriously. Nothing. You didn't have much credibility to start with, but now your credibility account is zero.
as in nada
I agree with you on that!
Lets see, apparently sinkspur does not mind breaking these two laws:
TITLE 8 CHAPTER 12 SUBCHAPTER II Part VIII Section 1324a - Unlawful employment of aliens.
TITLE 8 CHAPTER 12 SUBCHAPTER II Part VIII Section 1324b - Unfair immigration-related employment practices.
Are you still active duty?
I don't know how I'll sleep tonight.
When you go to a restaurant, your contractor for the evening, do you ask every dishwasher and busboy for their green cards?
A copper.
