Its illogical to ban hollowpoints in any case. If anything they are no more dangerous than any other kind of bullet. Maybe even less dangerous in the case of criminals vs law enforcement. FMJ bullets penetrate and can pass through bullet proof vests in some cases. Hollow points explode on hard targets, and allot of times wont even go through a wall.

The only thing a hollow points does better than an FMJ is to stop a single person. The wounds look worse and thats what apparently prompted these dumb politicians to do what they did. Reminds me of how a bayonet and flash suppressor were considered characteristics of an "assault weapon" in the 1994 ban.
