Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Inaccurate
(05/09/2006)Statement Todays report by the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols, is inaccurate. Border Patrol does not report activity by civilian, non-law enforcement groups to the Government of Mexico. During a detention of a legal or illegal immigrant that produces an allegation of improper treatment, Border Patrol reports the allegation and allows the appropriate consulate to interview the individual in custody.
This is consistent with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963 that provides consular access to foreign nationals being detained by a foreign government. This is the same agreement that protects United States citizens when they travel to foreign countries.
U.S. Customs and Border Protections Border Patrol continues to appreciate the efforts of civilians who contact law enforcement authorities regarding suspicious activity.
I meant to say article.
Doesn't surprise me, the truth always makes your eyes go glossy.
My "beef" with the Minutemen AND THE SUPPORTERS is that this forum spent an entire day on a bogus story.
Do you mind if I ask why they would want to infiltrate the minutemen?
The only reason I could capture the title of the other (now defunct thread) is that I had some freepmails that didn't get deleted when the thread got deleted.
That's the thread I was on this morning that got pretty ugly because I didn't believe the press release until people started freepmailing me stuff from Tancredo regarding this.
I'm just curious because I don't see threads disappear like that; maybe it was just a flame war after I left.
You can start by reading the BP Homepage, where they deny the story
The same way they have infiltrated this website, to trash Bush
No, stating a fact.
People on this forum called her and left messages for her and she didn't return their calls.
Now that we have that out of the way, can you link me to your post earlier in the day where you demanded to know if the first articles were lies and where you wanted to know it if it was?
IF the story is untrue, the fact that it was able to be taken at face value without a second thought should raise some alarm bells. Hello? 31% approval rating anyone?
It didn't get moved to the Smokey Backroom....LOL
Seriesly, if I were you, I would freepmail Jim or one of the moderators and ask.
Indeed.
So who's lying? The people that put out this press release, or CBP spokesman Mario Martinez?
How do you know they didn't give the woman this information?
Well you didn't ask me but I will tell you my beef. There is going to come a day when some these armatures crosses the wrong group of Mexicans and reap their Darwin award and we will have a non-stop orgy of outrage about how these "patriots" were betrayed by our government.
Post some truth and I'll perk right up.
21 May they start
Oh...stop with the poll numbers we ALL know THOSE are bogus..
FGS, this is turning into DU more every day!
And the boogeyman lives in your closet too. Could it be that some criticisms are legitimate? Naaaaah must be trolls. Only trolls would disagree with the President right?
Isn't JR traveling? Who do I freepmail the question to?
