also.....we bought our very expensive , to us anyway, 19 inch Quasar tv set for $400 back in the late 70's and we also bought a beautiful Canon 35 mm with extra lenses and I don't know if we could give the Canon away now....even Goodwill wouldn't take the tv.....

point is....many, many things are cheaper and better now, and even the Stock market is doing well.....

Yep, I remember all that, I also remember when minimum wage was $1.25 and that would buy lunch for two with change left. I also remember when $10,000. bought a decent new house and lot. I also remember buying a new V-8 Mustang for $3000.00. I also remember my father being very angry because the electric bill went over $8. one month. I also remember when most families in my area owned at least forty acres of land. I also remember when if someone had possessions you could expect that they were paid for.
