No he's not.
He's pointing to an issue (an important one) that is being ursurped by political opportunists who are Bush's enemies, that are currently twisting the facts and the administration current position on illegal immigration in order to fracture the President's voter base...it's pretty obvious. It's unfortunate that so many, like, you are willing to pander to this classic tool of deception in modern politics...but keep on keeping on...
Flame away, brainiac.

what a load of crap. Bush's enemies can't do anything to make worse what we already know to be true based on what Bush himself has said and done. What 'tool of deception' or 'twisting of the facts' was used to convince me that Bush refuses to effectively secure our borders and is willing to reward illegal entry with amnesty.
GWB is so very wrong about this issue and has walked to the other side, joining the left on it. You expect us to follow?
You are right that it is fracturing the base. And it will remain fractured until Bush, and the GOP, get the courage to say that illegal immigration is wrong, it's hurting our economy, employers of illegals will be vigorously punished and the welcome mat for illegals will be pulled up with increased deportation and a wall is built on the U.S./Mexico border. That will solve the political problems. Unless the Republicans can contrast themselves from the Democrats, the Republicans are going to have serious problems.
And I've also mentioned that it is extremely insulting to try to scare conservatives into voting for RINOs. It's the same fear tactic that the Dems pull on seniors with social security. A lot of people who are frustrated with Bush aren't going to be intimidated into holding their noses while they vore Republican. Conservatives are independent thinkers and will rebel against efforts like yours to keep them 'on the plantation.'
If the Republicans wish to abuse their supporters, they will not have supporters.
You're absolutely correct. I'm sure the Whitehouse will post something on their web site to calm everyone's nerves. /s
