Sorry, I guess I forgot my sarcasm tag.
Give the Lady a cigar. Truth is not always pleasant for all and we bend over backwards not to offend even the most idiotic.
Look at the chart above and retract that dumb remark.
Silly me, I forgot that immigrants have NO negative impact on our society.
No thank you..
It's not even that. According to the author, it's a lack of health insurance, not a lack of health care.
As though a lack of health insurance is preventing these crack hos from getting free natal care via countless emergency room visits.
"Silly me, I forgot that immigrants have NO negative impact on our society."
That's not what I said at all. Indeed, I pointed out that there are plenty of negative impacts from immigrants, just not infant mortality.
If you look at the chart at post 12, you will note the that blacks (non-Hispanic), Puerto Ricans (US Citizens, BTW), Hawaiians skew the results.
Mexicans (and Chinese), on the other hand, have better statistics than Non-Hispanic whites.
So much for the "third world" bogging us down.
"Look at the chart above and retract that dumb remark."
Don't confuse idiots with the facts, now. All they can do is listen to Michael Savage and blame everything on "dirty beaners."
Mexicans (and Chinese), on the other hand, have better statistics than Non-Hispanic whites.
Exactly. This is another piece of demagogery by people who can exploit it to their own ends. A legitimate comparison might be U.S. whites to European whites, but not the entire U.S. population to the entire population of some other country. The unpleasant fact is that no matter where you go in the world you will find that within that population there are differences in infant mortality by ethnic and racial group. AFAIK, the rate is consistently highest among blacks. The press dwells on this. What they never mention is that since the 40s the rate has declined as much among blacks in the U.S. as among whites with improvements in prenatal care and advances in technology. No one wants to admit that because it doesn't fit with the agenda of fanning flames.
Reality is not subjective.
There are many problems with illegal immigration.
Infant mortality is no one of them.
Once one has an error pointed out to them persistence in it makes one a Liar. But its your choice.
Savage is a real PoS and anyone believing that moron is beyond hope.
Ditto.
You are absolutely right. We at least TRY to save babies.
The same thing happens when discussing the educational systems around the world. If white students were on a par with their peers around the world, there may be less of a crisis.
It is well worth pointing out, as Paul Krugman recently did in his New York Times column,
Now there is a reliable source!
