Oh yeah. That approach worked real well with Pat Toomey...GWB and Rick Santorum saved Arlen Specter from certain defeat in the primary.

Specter has been instrumentally supportive of Dubya's judges, probably in response to Dubya's support of him, so Pat's candidacy was not wasted.

Toomey, btw, has come out strong in support of Rick Santorum.
