"Will you fair weather voters just ONCE take the time and tell us what the dems plans are regarding the illegals?
They had 8 years with Clinton - who had no 9-11, Katrina, etc to deal with -
What did they do about the borders????The problem has been there for decades.
Seems to me, you are following the Pied Piper Dems who have whipped this issue up to a fury, knowing there'd be enough sheeple to be suckered in."
It isn't about the democrats winning its about making the republicans pay foe betraying us. Scary, yes, but its the truth. Remember, it can easily be avoided by one issue, but the GOP still won't give it up. Really this is a game of chicken by two groups who are both to proud to give up. The only difference between the two sides is the far right thinks we'll lose either way.

I've heard some say teh reason the republicans should accept illegal immigration is we'd get 40% of their vote. Well, that's as stupid a statement as thinking Tancredo can win.

We agree, but its being said.

"I will probably stay home or vote Constitution Party."
I think I will join you. Jim Talent is not a Conservative by any stretch of the imagination. He has, too many times, voted the RINO way and I cannot in good conscience vote for him again.
I am also sick of people telling me that I have to vote Republican just to keep a majority. I am not voting for a party, but my principles and ideology. I will not sell either out for any party, I don't care which one it is.

How am I wrong, for every 100 Hispanics republicans get 40 votes democrats get 60. And thats Americanize Hispanics, do you think that poor socialist Hispanics who don't speak English will match that?
To: RHINO369
but its being said.Well, you've been here as long as I have -- and we both know a lot of people say a lot of stuff "with certainty" that's nothing except damn lies.
Hell, people are advocating voting for Hillary because of HER (constantly changing) stand on immigration!

They're the ones who can't understand that a temporary setback can sometimes be the price for what it takes to avert a major disaster down the road Understand this: we can't afford to create a deliberate setback in time of war. It's a gamble at the best of times.
Our Vietnam troops were savaged by enemies at home - we MUST not let this happen again

"No, it doesn't. Not even close."
That's not the sense that I'm getting out in the world. FR strikes me as being a microcosm of it; maybe a few more in the "pro" camp here (and on the far-left blogs too, oddly enough), but mass sentiment is decidedly anti, by varying degrees.
And, since we've made it past 1,000, I'm taking that as a cue to sign off and go to bed. Good night, it was certainly intense at times, but that happens when people have strongly held opinions.

Anyone who trusts her should be checked for stupidity.

You know what I am saying: it's not the NUMBER ONE ISSUE in this country.
To: RHINO369
Well, there are quite of few who do.

Goodnight all, I got a final exam tomorrow.
To: RegulatorCountry
That's not the sense that I'm getting out in the world. We must live in different worlds then; I'm in and out all the time and more people are hyped up about the Duke case than about that.
To: Mordacious
The only problem with that is that the dems can do a hell of lot of damage in the time it takes for that to happen. The military, the courts, our intelligence apparatus, the whole WOT. The question is how much sh*t is everybody willing to eat in those areas to right the ship? Exactly. They will undo, unravel, bury every thing that has been so hard won - so fast that we'll find it hard to believe they ever happened in the first place.
Yep, that sounds like a great strategy.

It's a really sad state of affairs down here.
On the other hand, it is amusingly interesting, in a dog and pony show sort of way!
