Babe Ruth is a legend. Barry Bonds is infamous.

I believe if Babe Ruth took care of his health and was more disciplined he could have made 800 HRs in his career easily.
One thing ( either you liked him or not ) Babe Ruth had character, and he once left ( or stopped ) a ballgame after a dog was hit by a line drive ball Babe Ruth went out and gave the dog some assistance and took the dog to the vet while the game was still in play.

Babe Ruth saved baseball from the Black Sox scandal. Bonds nearly ruined it with the steriods scandal.
Thanks to the Babe and others, however, it is too great a game even for Bonds to ruin.
I'd like to see the asterik put back on Roger Maris record with the explanation of last player to set this record without suspicion of using performance enhancing drugs.
If Bond's character were toilet paper, there wouldn't be enough to wipe a hamster's behind.
