The hateful MSM declared him down and out after Iran Contra. They were wrong, just like they're wrong about President Bush.

But what did Reagan do after Iran-Contra? All of his best accomplishments came before then. And the last mid-term election, in which we lost the Senate, had already taken place before that cover was printed.

Reagan's thought of much more positively now than he was at the time that magazine cover was shown. As he was getting ready to leave office, his approval numbers went up, even though there was no work left to do. That's not much of a "recovery" to look forward to for the next two-and-a-half years.
