I hate to say it but I think the electorate is just in one of its fickle moods. For instance how many times do we have to see polls over the last few years saying that the majority of the American people think the economy is going in the wrong direction. When it fact its been going gangbusters. Bush because he is Prez gets the wrath. Its all so frustrating but its just one of the things that happen thats like death and taxes. Its so predictable. I am not pushing the panic button yet. I don't think theses feelings of disapproval are that deep.
A lot of people here at FR suggest the gov't numbers are not reflective of reality in the real world...I see the real world in my area...The economy is in the tank...In my area...I suspect it's the same everywhere...
It's like my mother telling me as a kid that spinach did not taste bad...That's my first (and probably only) recollection of my mother lying to me...And if my mother would lie to me, who wouldn't...
