That's because he is just ignorant not smarmy. You don't feel you need to take a bath after watching him.
The wife stopped watching Hannity when he was misrepresenting the ports issue which didn't really break my heart. I did watch it a few times with her (very few) and have to say that on at least one of those occasions was left with the thought that if I could have coffee with either one of them I'd rather have it with Alan Colmes...even if he looks like a bad mortician job.
