"the United States government has become the driving force behind an apparently effective scheme of depriving the general public of income, access to the outside world and the necessities of life."

This "effective scheme" consists of not giving them handouts. Apparently, now failing to shovel money onto somebody constitutes treating him like an animal.

Further down in the article is this repulsive little tidbit:

"Although Hamas leaders have refused to recognize the state of Israel while their territory is being occupied..."

Are you aware, Jimmah, that Hamas considers the entire state of Israel to be "their territory", currently occupied?

"There is no doubt that Israelis and Palestinians both want a durable two-state solution..."

I beg to differ, President al-Carter. I beg to differ strongly. There is plenty of doubt that the Palestinians want a two-state solution. In fact, I'd say that there is very little doubt that the Palestinians want a one-state solution.

Carter, you talk a lot about people failing to treat the Palestinians with respect. I choose to take them at their word. I hear their words, and I believe them. You do not. They say something plainly, clearly, and articulately, and you don't listen to it. Which of us is showing them respect, and which is not?
