Well then, we have solved the energy requirements for automobiles now. Just get several batteries, string them in parallel, and fill 'em with pee juice.

"A drop of urine generates 1.5 volts, the equivalent of one AA battery, says Dr Ki Bang Lee of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology."

This is an interesting article; but the quote is somewhat misleading. Volts are a measure of electromotive force -- not of the energy delivered. Different types of batteries have different voltages -- AA is a size not type.

I have a better suggestion. Someone should invent a urinal with little water wheels in them. The faster we got them to spin, the more energy we generate.

Not exactly a new idea. The two centuries old Voltaic pile would work just as well with urine as with brine.

AA, AAA, A, C, a lot of watch battereies generate 1.5 volts. How many ampere-hours (or milliampere-hours, microampere-hours, or even nanoampere-hours) will this battery generate?

(BTW, I'm pretty sure it is a 'cell' not a battery. Most all cells generate about 1.5 volts.)

I wonder how many drunks who passed out in their cars with their lights on (and a dead battery) will try whizzing on their batteries to attempt a, "Jump Start."
