I have heard, but I might be wrong...that Reagan had even lower ratings than Bush has had...at some point in Reagan's presidency...
If not lower, than just as low...also, Reagan didn't have a war like WE are having to fight...he didn't have Katrina..he also was elected right after beating one of the worst all time POTUS' there ever was...and the Iran hostage situation..
PLUS, he didn't have the type of beginning in office like Bush had, with the election screw up and such.
Reagan lovers need to take the blinders off...just as we Bushbots have had to do, many times.
President Reagan had NO media, none. He fought his own fights.
Comparing a great President like Reagan to Bush is assinine.
You are wrong. Reagan was at 37% in two Gallup polls from Jan14-17 & Jan21-24 1983. Reagan hit 35% in one Gallup poll on Jan28-31 1983. That was it. Bush43 has been below 40% for quite some time now, and not just because of the war in Iraq either. Conservatives give him low grades on his liberal spending habits, expanding government, and a liberal policy with open borders and illegal immigration.
>>>>PLUS, he didn't have the type of beginning in office like Bush had..
As I pointed out to you, Reagan won in a landslide in 1980. Bush was lucky old Sandra Day O'Conner was sitting on the SCOTUS. Reagan was faced with the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression and his bold, decisive leadesrhip led to a 17 year economic boom. Bush43 has always had a solid economy on his side, low inteterst rates, low inflation and low unemployemnt rates.

Reagan has history on his side and deserves all the credit and kudos he receives. Bush is no Reagan. Get over it already.
