George W. Milhous Bush? - Is Dubya the new Nixon?

That cackling you're hearing comes from the chorus of Bush critics (an all-inclusive term that accounts for spittle-flecked bloggers and moderate liberal finger-waggers alike) giddy over Bush's basement-level poll numbers. Several bloggers have gone to the trouble of showing side-by-side charts of Bush's approval rating following close behind former President Richard Nixon's. At the end of the trail is the X-marks-the-spot treasure trove "Nixon resigns."

What's STUPID is the GOP won't even consider giving us a candidate that we can ALL get behind. They expect us to accept their preordained next in line? Not this time.

Republicans can ignore the polls at their own peril.

IMHO Nixon did more good for this country than Carter, Johnson or Clinton.

Thanks my friend.

Have you noticed how these bashers of GW ignore your translations of the reality of Saddam and his killing thugs. Amazing how supposed conservatives hate GW more than the $addam and other killing thugs.

"Bush has accomplished A LOT...and it is too bad some people don't take the effort to realize how good you have it..."

How good we have it? Domestically, this is a train wreck. The President and the Republican controlled Congress are spending like drunken sailors on a binge, illegal aliens roam freely while the President dangles amnesty and now citizenship in front of their faces, the Education department now has unparalleled control over state and local education facilities, Social(ist) Security boondoggle is costing us yet another $2 trillion, we're looking at a $500 - $700 Billion pill bill addition onto Medicare, and that doesn't begin to address the messes going on internationally (ie Iran, North Korea, etc).

If that's having it good, there's only a select few who could manage to do what you would consider 'poorly'. It would take Hilary or a Kennedy to do much worse, in my opinion. In fact, I don't know that either of them would have the courage to try and grow domestic spending the way the President has. When we had a Democratic President and a Republican Congress, this kind of garbage was laughed off the floor. I think that's pathetic.

Are you talking about 2008??

I don't know who the GOP has ordained yet...can you tell me?

Because I darn sure am NOT going to get behind someone that THEY pick, unless it is someone I want..

I hope you haven't gotten the impression that I endorse anyone like that...you know me better than that. -;)

Bush beats Reagan in every conservative category anyone cares to offer.

Well, except this one.

Oh, and by the way, Reagan was dealing with a Democrat-controlled Congress. Bush, a Republican-controlled one.

We can pretty much see who they are NOT endorsing. Tancredo doesn't even get an invite to the White House; he's that radioactive

Jeff Sessions of Alabama is another person I'd love to see considered for POTUS, probably over Tancredo. He would unite our Party and bring cross over voters.

Tx...I didn't mean to give you the impression you were a Lemming..far from it :)

If the GOP has nothing better than McCain on the ticket, we will lose. I'm not naive enough to think there aren't "anointed" potential POTUS candidates out there. It's politics as usual.

I agree with everything you just posted...and I have no clue why Tancredo has been treated that way...it has been that way long before even the Minutemen were "born"...

I love Jeff Sessions, but notice that NO MSM, even Fox ever has him on their shows...they know that he won't say something negative about the Bush Administration just to get his face on TV...

He is a straight shooter..and would critisize President Bush, but would do it in a way that is respectful of the office of POTUS....which is sadly lacking in the majority of the politicians of both parties lately.

I truly don't think that McCain will get the nomination..he has made too many conservatives mad...and from what I hear...the Swift Boat Vets and the POW/MIA groups are lying in wait for him also...

Dubya is becoming Jimmy Carter.

Appeasement of illegals; is the hostage crisis which will bring to office a Democrat version of Reagan, winning a wide swath of Republicans, by actually standing firm.

The Minutemen, will be the "Reagan Democrats". Except it will be Bush who is remembered for being replaced, by someone who on their first day in office - orders the building of a border fence. To massive approval.

SECURE THE BORDER. NOW. Or forget about the GOP ever again winning anything in America.

This is very, very serious. The GOP is in a gigantic game of chicken - hands frozen on the wheel - heading right for a crash.

Voting for a rino instead of a rat is like thinking someone for beating you with a fist instead of a bat. They are both liberal, and I will vote for neither.

Let's not forget what got Nixon into trouble. It had nothing to do with his social liberalism. It had to do with a rat named John Dean and his failure to burn the tapes and the fact that he was, after all, a crook.

What bothers me is it appears the team that worked to elect President Bush in 2000 are now on line to work for McCain -- I hate this annointed politician stuff. We do the 'annointing' from a field of candidates -- it's called a primary.

"What bothers me is it appears the team that worked to elect President Bush in 2000 are now on line to work for McCain -- I hate this annointed politician stuff. We do the 'annointing' from a field of candidates -- it's called a primary."

I think that we are seeing them in mass again with their vile hate GW posts/replies on conservative sites.

In 2000, in many of the primary states, the rabid/vile gay agenda pushers who hated GW 24/7/365 registered as republicans in states where the primaries were held. Then, they could vote for McAinal in the primaries to defeat GW. Of course when the November election was held, they would have voted for Goron.

In 1999/2000, the Gay Electronic Brownshirts, who hated GW 24/7/365, invaded the conservative web sites. They were either up front trolls trashing GW and republicans, or they labeled themselves the true conservatives. They gave themselves conservative sign on names. Most pretended to be Reagan voters who were deeply disappointed in GW as he was not a real conservative like them. Their goal again was to have republicans sit at home and not vote or vote for a third party loser like in 1992. That would have given the elections to Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004 like when Clintoon won in 1992.

The trolls were easily spotted on the conservative sites. The gay moles often pretend to be Reagan loving conservatives who hated GW for not being a walk on the water conservative like them were harder to spot.

However, a quick review of their posting history on any website, showed that they never had a positive thing to say about GW or any republican before GW was elected and after GW was elected. GW and republicans are savagely ripped and lied about in every reply/thread by these "purest walk on the water, conservatives".

Any thread posted on a conservative site which praised a positive action by GW brought these gay maggots out of their closets. They would put on their play like conservative mantles and would trash GW as not man enough, dumb, crooked like his Dad and of course not as good of a conservative like Ronald Reagan.

Go back 4 years and look at any positive news threads on our economy to see how these electronic brown shirt maggots would come out of their gay closets to minimize what happened and usually end up calling GW a socialist or worse.

Another favorite trick is post a thread which in reality is a wet dream by a homosexual agenda pusher, who pretends to be a journalist. AP has more of these maggots than any other pseudo news source. A classic AP lying maggot was the one who said that Republicans cheered when GW said that Clinton was admitted to a hospital. That maggot had a decade long history of pushing the gay agenda, and about 5 years of hating GW.

After we invaded Iraq, these maggots were the first to post the AP and Reuters quagmire articles. That was the beginning of the arm chair generals on tv, in the fish wraps an on conservative sites saying we didn't have enough soldiers, tanks and whatever. They were screaming for Rummy's head 3 years ago. We are now seeing how that the fire Rummy screams were a well coordinated left wing cabal with connections to Mary McTraitor and Zinni.

They still scream like Howard Dean that there were no WMDs or al Qaeda in Iraq before we invaded Iraq. Yet they ignore j veritas's translations, and others who have translated some of the thousands of seized documents after we kicked Saddam out.

Speaking of Saddam, these self righteous maggots never say anything bad about Saddam or al Qaeda's leaders, they ignore these serial mass murders and attack GW for our efforts to kill or capture these mass murdering serial killers.

The deep planted rabid moles try to turn any positive thread into a Bush Bashing thread because he doesn't have the balls/manhood to stand up, he is dumb, the war is wrong, the quagmire bs, he didn't fire Rummy and on and on.

When we see a rabid hate filled reply about our President, do a simple history check of their posts. You will never see a positive thing posted about GW, except when one of us challenges them and calls them a troll. The standard maggot lie is buffed up and trotted out, "I voted for GW X times. I can't support him any more!" "I will never donate to the RNC again."

We know that they never voted for him. They never donated to the RNC. Their vitrol against GW in the past was to defeat him or weaken him from 2000 to now. Now their vitrol is to defeat Republicans running for Congress this year, and who ever our candidate for President is in 2008 and of course to weaken GW so he can't do things that destroy what the rats have set up since the 1960's.

When you read or see uncontrolled hatred of GW on any conservative site, the person who posted that hate is probably an electronic left wing maggot infected mole.

Keep the faith!

I have asked some Freepers who have documented the very long list of GW's and republican accomplishments since GW was sworn in the first time in 2001, to update those lists. Those lists need to be posted after any drive electronic shooting of GW by the maggot moles pretending to be the great and last conservatives.

What irks me the most is Bush ran on a conservative platform and then immediately went with the Rockafeller-big business crowd and Latinos right after the election.

That's the worst, that's why I will not vote for a Bush again.

Karl Rove today told the press he will woo the conservatives so they vote this November, he had better make a quick hard turn or President Bush is going to be in extreme hot water.

And Bush does not fight for himself. He thinks the conservative talk media will come through for him again.

It may be too late.
