I read the "Kennedy Women"....don't know if you have read it or not, but it was good reading...learned alot about this clan, Joe was no doubt a 'dirty' man...would sell his own mother if it would help him to walk on someone....the swimmer is just like him...

I liked JFK, I thought he was a good President and I thought Jackie brought a "Lady Like" environment to the Country and White House that hadn't ever been there, one statement Jack made, "It's Jackie and Mr. President"....

We have a Lady in our White House right now that is as gracious as Jackie, if you get a chance to read: "Laura Bush" a very beautiful, intelligent, smart, gracious Lady for sure...

We so needed someone like Laura after the slimy one in there for eight years....

I read voraciously and have read both of the books you mention.

I have long considered the assassination of JFK to have been one of the great tragedies of the 20th Century, but not because he was a good president. He was not. He was overrated and ineffectual and nearly blundered us into a nuclear war. The tragedy of Kennedy's death is that it visited LBJ upon us. The country has never recovered from that tragedy and, I fear, never will.

Jackie was a political whore who stayed with JFK because it gave her an aura of power and respectability while he was out jocking every woman he could. To compare her with Laura Bush is ridiculous.
