There is no debate to be had. Hitler razed and looted over 1200 Catholic churches, and sent over 800 priests to die in labor camps. He did manage to have the SS take over administration in the protestant churches however, but that wasn't for religious concerns, it was to control their influence, and install his own ideals.
Pope Pius did a lot of damage to Hilter, one was getting him to sign a concordate which kept him out of church business.
many underground activities went through the church, and many jews were smuggled out of hitlers reach through it as well. Of course there are sights on the net that say differently, but they don't hold water if you research the facts. It's the typical church bashing we see that comes from all fronts. Enemies of the church are enemies of America as well.
Plus the Nazi Party had plans to turn all Protestant Churches to their own cult, including replacing all crosses with swastikas, and bibles with Mein Kompf. The never got around to it with the war, but the Nazis were in no way Christian. They adopted some elements of Protestantism, but believed in the occult and mostly adopted Protestant mysticism, the took elements form many religions, actually Hinduism was one of their biggest influences (that is were the swastika came from), as well as Islam (mostly Sufism), Germanic paganism, statism, etc. Nazism is a religion, and not a Cristian one.
The point is that Christians kill Christians - Muslims kill Muslims. Catholic Priests molest little boys. Some are worse than others. No one has a monopoly on good or evil.
Zarqawi has killed and had Muslims killed - so has Sadr - does that make them not Muslim?
