The Right certainly has its hardcore group of bigots, but probably 90% of all the bigots I meet in my day to day life are Leftists who honestly believe they're open-minded, forward-thinking progressives.

You are totally right. The Left sees itself as a kind of political/cultural arbriter, which needs to decide whom gets to say what, and what is and is not "hate speech".

In 1992, Governor Bob Casey (D-Pa) WAS NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK before the Dem platform committee AGAINST ABORTION. He simply was told that his views would not be listened to.

And they think they support free speech.
