Maybe I've missed something, but didn't he just confess to drinking when he didn't have to (yes, a lot of people including myself believe that he must have), but this would make it impossible for his supporters to say that he wasn't drinking....what difference does it make whether it was at a bar or a lady friend's house?

No I think it would be better for Kennedy to spin the story that he was at home with a lady friend who was looking after him rather than having him out carousing in a bar somewhere before the accident.

When I first saw this story I thought it was odd that Kennedy would contact the media and introduce a woman into the story. But one of Freepers earlier in the thread pointed out that this story was a ruse to get people thinking he was at home rather than out in a bar and the more I think about it the more I see it that way.
