You and the president and each and every member of Congress can give as much as they want to alieviate the suffering of those in need. They have no legitimate authority to take money from anyone to give to another.

My God, the Lord Christ Jesus, tells me to help too and I do to the best of my ability. He doesn't tell me to put a gun in your face to fund my idea of charity and that is exactly what the government does when it taxes us to do their 'good deeds', which are more like vote buying than anything else.

You're right. You are FEELING your way through this. I'm relying only on facts. You are using one unconstitutional act (foreign aid) to justify another. It's also because so many now rely on the government to bail them out that they do not take the necessary steps to protect themselves. Why should they pay for insurance when Uncle Sugar will pay?

I think that after surviving the first one or two hurricanes that I would have packed up what was left and moved. Maybe I learn quicker than you. Stay there if you want, but you don't deserve tax money any more than the people who build homes near fire prone forests or flood prone river areas. Buy insurance. Save lots of money to rebuild yourself. Do something, but the rest of the country should not be forced to pay for your decisions when they have no choice in whether to pay.

What you take out of your pocket is compassionate. What the government takes at the point of a gun is coercin. Don't you understand the difference?

Go ahead and play the sympathy card and the God card and the 'You're going to hell' card because I think that the government should stay within it's written legal bounds.

Your entire premise is based on Americans stealing from you. If it is indeed Unconstitutional, you and your Libertarian friends need to challenge income tax in court.

What is and is not Unconstitutional is decided by the SCOTUS, unless Congress decides to take their ability away to adjudicate on any particular issue. Good luck with that argument! BTW, how many people are sitting in the Federal pen for failing to pay that Unconstitutional tax? Like I said... Good Luck!

You don't know jack about Hurricanes and the South... you have learned absolutely nothing. I guess people in the Midwest should move from Tornadoes, up North they need to move to get away from Ice Storms, out West they need to move away from Earth Quakes and Tsunamis, and down South and East we need to move from Hurricanes. Where should we go, Oh Wise One?

"Prepare for the Common Defense" runs a far bit deeper that "Hup, Two, Three, Four"! This is most likely lost on you.

I have NEVER taken one dime in Federal Aid, and I know very few people that have. I have gladly accepted their Law Enforcement, Traffic control, Ice, Water, and within a few days after landfall, a few MRE's. I lost two homes and one business in Katrina, and none of your funding helped me rebuild any of them. No sound bite, just personal sacrifice, good friends, and a lot of hard work!

Those without anything to their names have, but Faith based organizations have taken up 90% of that slack. You now very little, and the more you rant, the more that becomes evident. I'm done with trying to convince you of anything. Good day!
