BTW, when Santorum came from behind it was (again) when he ran as a conservative, voted as a conservative, and had the hearty support of conservatives.

In the last 2 years, his record sucks and he has alienated his base on just about every issue. He still talks a good game, especially at fund raisers, but his actions fail to back up those words.

He claims to be pro life but supports pro abortion candidates whose votes negate his. He claims to be pro gun, but supports gun grabbers who cancel out his vote a lot of the time even though he is only 'with us' 64% over the last ten years.

He claimed to be a conservative, but has since emulated the 'compassion' of Senor Bush and the spending habits of Arlen Specter.

His last victory was by less than one percent. He has lost the support of many of those who get out the vote and give him money.

Don't count on a 'comeback' this time. He dug his own grave and dared us to push him into it.

I hope Santorum wins. I recall that the conservatives tried to get rid of Specter and didn't.

Santorum may lose. If the GOP doesn't pick up a compensating seat and if we lose enough seats to throw the Senate back to the donks, we can all sit back and watch what happens as the committees and the agenda all go progressive.

Won't that be satisfying?
