Wake up Rhode Island. Do you really want someone representing your interests that cannot remember getting out of bed?

I will think of this the next time Pelosi talks about a "Republican culture of corruption" or "Democrats stand for accountability" or somesuch hogwash.

This nation should be incredibly angry with how the Kennedys have unashamedly used the murders of two of their family to protect them from all manner of criticism and accountability. They are a corrupt group with several decent members, yet a corrupt group nonetheless. As an American of Irish heritage, it amazes me that people in this country think of Italian fictional families like the Corleones and Sopranos when they think of corrupt business families.

Based on Joe's dealings with phone and oil companies and his crippling of a young woman (who subsequently talked of suing him to get more money); the late Michael's perversions; the utter carelessness with their own lives and those of others; the drugs and booze and the casual attitude toward their use; and Teddy's nauseating moralizing while being pro-abortion, a public drunk, and at least an involuntary murderer, the obvious truth is that the Kennedy family's business IS corruption.

He should get a DUI regardless. Even if the cops pretend to believe his lie about not being drunk, being under the influence of drugs is also grounds for a DUI, and he has admitted that.

Oi! Don't blame us! The GOP needs to meet us halfway here. They need to RUN CANDIDATES in the blue states. They need to support the guys that do run. They need to buy ads. They need to send us signs to put in the yard. I turn out every election, and it's always Patrick Kennedy vs. Some Guy. Guess how that turns out?

Seriously, the party has totally given up on the definitive blue parts of the country. They don't see the overall strategic value in doing better in these areas, even if they don't win. And they don't even dream of actually winning. If an area is totally ignored by the party, how do they ever HOPE to gain ground?

I just had to ask around to find out if anybody's running against Patrick this year. Yeah. Some Guy.

Is there a secret school somewhere that Kennedys go to in order to get PhD's in

lying,
corruption,
arrogance,
idiocy,
Machiavellianism,
Communism,
globalism,
serf abuse

and the like?

…took the prescribed amount of Phenergan and Ambien

Would he have used this defense if Ambien had not been in the news a short time ago for causing people to “sleep drive” as well as sleep walk?
On CNN this morning a segment showed him apologizing for being addicted to painkillers and stating he was going to the Mayo Clinic for treatment – and how he is the victim of a terrible chronic illness. Now we are to feel sorry for him – he is a victim.
“My courage to seek help will give others the courage to seek help” – not only are we to feel sorry for him because he is a victim, but praise him because he is a hero!

The networks and CNN would be doing gavel-to-gavel coverage of this if Kennedy were a Republican.

The double-standards and hypocrisy of Dem crimes vs GOP crimes is absolutely incredible.

I can keep up with all the Kennedy spawn but isn't this the same Kennedy son who went to the courts with his sister and was made guardian for his mom due to her drinking? Is he one of the one's involved with trying to have her committed when her tried to sell some of her own property?

This is an outrage.

He knew exactly what the hell he was doing by claiming he had to vote at 3 am so as to try and thwart law enforcement.

1. That is abuse of power.

Further, we now know he was drinking at this bar before the accident.

He issued a statement Thursday saying he had consumed "no alcohol prior to this incident."

2. That is an outright lie compouned by making a false statement, and he issued it from his office while in an official capacity.

It is unreal to me how much his father got away with. Look at the fawning media coverage he recieved after he killed Mary Jo.

These people are disgusting.

The newspaper of record in Boston, the Globe, has a different take.....

I'm sure someone's already asked this question: If Patches told the Police he was late for a vote and they believed that statement, why did they then drive him home and not to his office?

"A hostess at the Hawk ’n’ Dove bar, a popular Capitol Hill watering hole, told the Herald that Kennedy was drinking in the hours before cops say they watched his Mustang swerve eratically, nearly hit a police cruiser and smash into a concrete security barricade."

I'll bet the Hawk 'n' Dove has cameras in the bar and the dining area, if Kennedy was there he'll be on the tapes.
